Manage your school
Use your owner account at app.tutoride.dev. Check the school name at the top before changing anything.
Give a teacher access to an existing class
- Open Team → Invitations and create a Teacher invitation. Copy the link and send it through your usual school channel. Creating the invitation does not send an email.
- After the teacher joins, open My classes → Classes. Open the existing class, choose the teacher and save.
- Open Team → Material access. Select the teacher and grant the lessons and lesson plans needed for the next class.
- In Team, choose Access next to the teacher. Leave standard access on, or turn off areas they do not need. Choose Save access.
- Ask the teacher to refresh the app and open that class and one assigned material.
Expected result: the teacher sees the assigned students and available materials. You can still open every class from your owner account. Students keep their accounts and work.
A class has one assigned teacher. The owner can support that same class without replacing the teacher. Two ordinary teacher accounts cannot currently share the class assignment.
Decide what each teacher can use
Team → Access controls classes and students, materials and assignments, review and reports, quizzes, AI, projects, Linux and practice games. A cleared checkbox blocks that area in this school. It never grants access to another teacher’s class or unavailable plan features.
- Save access applies the changes. Access changes immediately. The teacher should refresh their page to update the menu.
- Restore standard access, then Save access, enables the standard teacher areas again.
- To change which students a teacher sees, change their class assignment.
- To change which lessons a teacher sees, use Material access. Their own materials remain available while the Materials area is enabled.
Only owners change school-wide settings, teacher roles, teacher access and billing. Teachers cannot expand their own access. Owners retain access to school classes, materials, reviews and live quiz controls. Private teacher AI conversations remain private to their author.
Choose what students see
Open a class in My classes → Classes and review its module settings. Use these to limit the class to the tools needed for the course. A student-specific module override takes precedence over the class setting; check the student record if one person sees a different menu.
For public class discovery, enable Show this class in the public portfolio in the class settings and save. Only published projects can appear. Turning this off hides the class filter; it does not unpublish projects.
Check work or take over a quiz
Select the class on Today. Open Review work for school lesson results, or open the relevant quiz for its live session/results. As owner, you can advance or end a teacher’s live quiz. Advancing changes the question for everyone; ending closes that session.
